Paul’s cartoon illustration work is principally along the lines of Character Design. As a caricaturist he is able to stretch the human face in all directions to define character and expression. This can also be done anthropomorphically with animals such as the shark, piranha and lion in the gallery below, and abstract objects such as cars, buildings, foods etc…
In 2004 he created a series of characters for Jonathan Crisp – crisps for snobs! The designs ran for nine years and were widely distributed throughout the UK and abroad. In 2005 he was nominated for a prestigious D&AD Illustration Award.
In addition to Character Design, Paul has also worked in –
Advertising and Product Promotion – including Glorious! foods and the ‘upside down’ faces in the gallery below.
Visualising Concepts – where the client’s ideas and thoughts are brought to life, either from the studio or live at company offices during consultation and ‘brain-storming’ sessions.
Media – including newspapers, magazines, journals, pamphlets and websites.
